SUMMER 2025 23 Over 150 Patriots across all disciplines spent their Spring Break integrating their faith and learning with real life experiences. Led by President Adam C. Wright and DBU Trustee and Adjunct Professor Dr. Brent Taylor, 16 students studied leadership lessons from our Founding Fathers and toured iconic monuments in Washington, D.C. A group of 22 students led by Professor H. Rick Jordan, Professor Jamie Jordan, and Dr. Sergiy Saydometov studied finance, management, and kinesiology throughout Manhattan. Students joined Swerve Church in Brooklyn serving families alongside North American Mission Board church planters. Students on the annual Civil Rights Trip led by Dr. Jack Goodyear, Dr. Rodney Garrett, and Professor Tish Hearne journeyed to historical locations in the South relevant to understanding the Civil Rights Movement. The Chapel Worship Songwriting Retreat with the DBU Chapel Worship team provided the perfect backdrop for studying the Word and creating new worship songs to share. Baptist Student Ministries from across Texas met at Beach Reach on South Padre Island, engaging hundreds of spring breakers with the Gospel and leading many to faith in Christ.
