Beginning with chapel and continuing through the groundbreaking ceremony and luncheon, the event reflected a shared commitment to DBU’s mission of preparing Christ-centered business leaders to serve with excellence in a rapidly changing world. This moment represents more than the start of construction; it is the result of faithful generosity, prayer, and partnership. Attendees gathered to thank God for His provision and to honor the many individuals whose investment has helped bring this vision to life. The Carter School of Business building will serve as a cornerstone for academic excellence and innovation, offering thoughtfully designed spaces that foster collaboration, leadership development, and real-world application. The facility will further DBU’s commitment to integrating faith and learning, equipping students to lead with discernment, integrity, and servant hearts. “I see it in the business world every day; we need Christcentered leaders. We need people willing to stand up for our God and stand firm for Godly principles. It’s those Christcentered leaders that DBU can shape and mold every day that makes the difference,” said Ron Carter. Approximately 55,000 square feet across five levels, the new state-of-the-art Carter School of Business building, inspired by Massachusetts Hall, will offer extensive space for both classroom instruction and hands-on training across the school’s diverse majors and disciplines. The facility will include modern classrooms, faculty and administrative offices, student study and collaboration rooms, conference and meeting rooms, departmental office suites, auditoriums, and a simulated stock exchange trading floor, alongside other innovative learning environments. “We are so thankful for the way God has used faithful individuals to fuel this project and His plans for DBU. The Carter School of Business has the opportunity to make a lasting impact by producing generations of Christ-centered servant leaders for the marketplace and beyond,” said Dr. Adam C. Wright. As speakers emphasized throughout the ceremony, the impact of this building will extend far beyond campus. Though the building is set to open fall 2027, the Carter School of Business already stands as an enduring investment in future generations who will carry DBU’s values into businesses, organizations, and communities around the world.
