The evening’s benediction was led by Dr. Julio Guarneri, Executive Director of Texas Baptists. “Each year, the Leadership Gala reminds us of the remarkable individuals and organizations God has placed in DBU’s story,” Dr. Wright shared. “We are honored to celebrate Patsy R. Smith and the J.E and L.E Mabee Foundation, whose generosity, faith, and leadership embody the heart of our mission.” The DBU Leadership Gala serves as a celebration of lives that reflect the University’s core values of faith, character, and service. Through the generosity of those who attend and support the event, the University continues to provide scholarships and resources that equip students to make a lasting difference for Christ in the world.
