Wright addressed attendees. Speaking within the context of Holy Week, he reflected on the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem and the call to live out one’s faith with boldness and authenticity. “The rocks are ready to cry out,” he said. “But you have a voice. Use it.” Dr. Wright also reminded guests of DBU’s unique role in higher education. Among thousands of universities across the nation, he emphasized that DBU remains firmly committed to its identity as a Christ-centered institution. “The difference is Jesus,” he said. “We stand unapologetically for Christ and His Kingdom.” Perhaps the most powerful moments of the luncheon came through the voices of students, who shared firsthand how their experiences at DBU are shaping their lives and faith. Through Spring Break trips across the country and around the world, students Max Ellis, Haley Flemons, and Halle Hudgins described what it looks like to live out the University's mission.. Whether engaging in leadership studies in Washington, D.C., sharing the Gospel on the beaches of South Padre Island, or learning from historical examples of faith and courage in Europe, each story reflected a common thread: God is at work in and through DBU students. Haley shared how a mission trip led to life-changing conversations and decisions for Christ, while Halle spoke about the importance of obedience and trusting God’s calling, even in uncertain circumstances. Together, their testimonies offered a glimpse into the lasting impact of investing in students who are being equipped to serve both locally and globally. As the luncheon drew to a close, guests were invited to consider how they might continue to support the mission of DBU, whether through prayer, involvement, or financial giving. The Women’s Auxiliary Board continues to play a vital role in fostering these opportunities, creating meaningful ways for individuals to engage with and invest in the University’s work. In a final moment of reflection, Leslie expressed gratitude for the community gathered and the shared commitment to advancing DBU’s mission. “Thank you for the joy and honor it is to tell others how they can know Jesus,” she prayed.
